Sustainability schemes are becoming more important in the cosmetics industry. As more natural raw materials are used in cosmetic products, there is growing pressure on them to be ethically sourced. This seminar shows what ethical sourcing means in terms of natural ingredients. How can cosmetic and ingredient firms create a positive impact by sourcing natural ingredients? 

An overview will be given of third party sustainability schemes that are associated with ethical sourcing. Some of the schemes to be covered include organic, fair trade, fair wild, sourcing with respect, RSPO, upcycled, etc. What is the outlook for ethical sourcing of natural ingredients? Is the future with in-house schemes or voluntary schemes? Future projections will be given in terms of ethical sourcing of natural raw materials.
